As you all may have noticed, one of the trees from the center island at our front entrance has been removed. While we regretted this action, it was deemed necessary due to public safety based on an assessment from the City of Longwood’s arborist.
While the arborist was reviewing a few trees at the entrance for possible trimming, she noticed that the lower tree on the center island had a large hole where the two halves of the tree met. It was dying. The city paid to have it removed, but there has been no decision if we can plant another tree due to the extensive root system of the old tree. The photo shows the hole which prompted this action. We hope you understand.
