In the past several weeks, there has been an increase of reported incidents of suspicious persons possibly casing our neighborhood. The pictured suspects below were captured by a home surveillance video in our neighborhood and were peering into vehicles. The suspects were described as a short white or hispanic female, dark hair, wearing black tank top and black pants and was carrying a camera. She was accompanied by a white/male with long dreds, wearing red shirt and jeans. There were seen loitering in the neighborhood on 1/30/16 at approximately 5:30pm. This incident was reported to the Longwood Police and the Police need them identified. If you see them again or can help identify them, please do so by calling the Longwood Police non-emergency line at (407) 339-1297.
There was also a small white 4 door Mazda car, bearing FL tag# 853 5TP occupied by 3 white males that was stopped by the Police the same night driving around the neighborhood. This car was also possibly associated with the pictured suspects. When stopped by the Police, they admitted to trespassing in the neighborhood and they advised; “they were just looking for a place to smoke, “weed”. They were found to be in possession of cannabis and were dealt with accordingly.
Additionally, we have seen an increase in solicitations of people going door to door soliciting services for so called businesses. While these may be legitimate, be aware of potential scams. Official business solicitations require a city permit in order to solicit, and most often they do not have such permit. Please Do Not Hesitate to Report these solicitors to the Police, as they often use this opportunity to case your property and take advantage to commit crime.

REPORT ALL SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES TO THE POLICE. YOU CAN REMAIN ANONYMOUS AS YOU PLEASE, BUT CALL THE POLICE TO HAVE SUSPICIOUS PEOPLE IDENTIFIED AND CHECKED OUT. THIS WILL HELP DETER THEM FROM ANY OPPORTUNITY TO COMMIT CRIME IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
