We’re beautifying our neighborhood!

The HOA has been busy with beautification projects that we hope our residence will enjoy!

New benches have been installed in the Front Park by West Lake. After many discussions over the course of several meetings, the HOA board decided to replace the old and failing benches at the park area.  During January’s meeting, the style of new benches was finalized and approved. The new benches are commercial grade and are coated to resist fading and weathering to provide years of service with minimum maintenance.

Rugged coated metal benches look great, are comfortable, and built to last.

The landscaping at the front road entrance has been renovated. This notoriously difficult-to-maintain grassy area suffered due to the amount of shade the overhead trees. The HOA contracted our current landscape company to replant this area with shade tolerant shrubs that will look great and be much easier to maintain going forward.

Lastly, the board had decided to replace the large tree off of Skidder Court that the city had removed due to sidewalk damage as its absence left the area barren. Three new Bald Cypress trees were chosen as they are drought and flood tolerant, making them ideal for placement around the pond and in the sandy soil.

Did you know! The Bald Cypress gets its name as it is one of the few conifer tree's that loses its leaves in the fall.
